Deb grew up in the Northern Virginia area, and has recently moved to Tybee Island, after retiring from the Federal Government as an Event Planner. She has always been involved in creative endeavors, but began painting seriously about five years ago.
Deb has a BS from West Virginia University, but she continues to take painting classes on a regular basis, from nationally known artists, such as Bill Fletcher, Dreama Perry Tolle, Alyssa Burke, Donna Downey, Sarah Sedgewick, and well-known Savannah artist Sharon MacIntosh. She is familiar with several mediums, but is currently painting in oil. Her paintings typically focus on the colorful low country landscapes, marshes, seascapes, coastal birds, and sea animals, all which complement her surroundings, and her love for nature and bright colors.
